1. Process Description of Sludge Directly Drying System
1.1 Working principle
Wet sludge (60-80%) is fed into dryer though screw conveyer,under the function of disintegrator and liftout plate, wet sludge is disintegrated and mixed well with hot gas. Two-stage drying system is applied to obtain the desired moisture content of dry product below 10%. In the process of dehydration, along with rotation of dryer, the sludge is kept moving toward the outlet and discharged from it.
1.2 Process description
After pre-treatment, the sludge via the feeder enters the dryer for further dehydration. The dried material will be discharged from the outlet. Exhaust (with little powder) enters into the cyclone and after further dedusting in wet scrubber, the exhaust can satisfy the environmental requirement.
1.3 Characteristics of Sludge directly drying system
1.3.1 Be able to directly dry the wet sludge without blending any dry sludge, i.e. the blender, agitator and sieve machine are not required. Therefore, the investment for the whole system is low.
1.3.2 Moisture content between 30% to 40% can be achieved for drying wet sludge containing higher moisture content. The double-stage drying system is required for achieving moisture content below 10%.
1.3.3 The drying medium is in direct contact to the wet sludge, which needs hot inlet air temperature as high as above 850℃. The thermal efficiency is high and the dehydration ability is good.


2. Process Description of Sludge Indirect Drying System
 Working principle
Wet sludge (60-80%) is fed into the dryer by the feeder. There are plenty of heat exchange pipes with high temperature steam. The air (need no preheat) enters into the dryer, then it is heated by the heat exchange pipe. After contacting with the heated air, the moisture will be taken away. The dried sludge is discharged for the product outlet.
 Process description
 The sludge is fed into the dryer after preprocessing. The dried sludge is discharged for the product outlet. Exhaust (with little powder) enters into the cyclone. After further dedusting in wet scrubber, the exhaust can satisfy the environmental requirement.
 According to different kinds of drying sludge, deodorant device is added in exhaust purifying process.
 


3. Characteristics of Sludge Drying System with Fluidized-bed Dryer with In-bed Heat Exchanger
 Be able to directly dry the wet sludge, however, a disintegrator shall be equipped at the inlet to the dryer.
 The air for drying is not required to pre-heat. Its main function is to maintain the stable fluidized state of material on the bed and to enlarge the contacting area of material with the medium for drying, which can improve the thermal efficiency and protect against adhesion and agglomeration.
 The moisture content as low as below 10% can be achieved after dehydration, satisfying the requirement of drying system.
 The in-built heat exchanger reduces the equipment size and improve its thermal efficiency.
 According to client’s requirement, the dryer can combine process of dehydration and cooling together.
